Kindergarten Graduation

Jake we are so proud of you for Graduating.  Jake loves school at the beginning of the year it nearly killed him to wait until noon to go.   He begged me to go talk to the principal and see if he could just go all day like Zeak, Keanna, and Taylei.   Jake is a great student he never pulled a card all year much his brothers dismay.   Zeak one day in all of his frustration said, Jake why don't you try being normal and pull a card.  Jake's response was awesome your not normal Zeak.   Jake loves to read and has come so far.   Thanks for a great  year we look forward to many more keep your love for learning and it will take you far.   We Love you Mom and Dad

Spring Fling

Jake and Mom doing the Loopty Loo
Zeak doing a a new dance.
All of us doing the Mocarania.   Taylei was our leader.
This is how Kaci enjoyed the Spring Fling
Jake and Jadee doing the Loopty Loo

This was a really fun night.   Mona has each grade do a dance.   Then they invited all of the parents to dance with their kids.   These are the moments in life that I truly enjoy. That night  I asked Dan why we don't do things like this more often.   Dancing and Singing is what helped our ancestors make it through tuff times so I think if we go back to their example and put more quality family time, singing and dancing in our lives, it will help us through the tough times.
This truly is a night I will treasure as a mom.

Terrific Kid

We never thought this would happen but this is what can happen when you put your mind to something.   With hard work, lots of effort, and determination you can achieve anything.   Zeak is a terrific kid especially in his element, school is just not his element.     We are so proud of him and want him to know he is terrific and a piece of paper isn't what makes him terrific.

This is what his teacher had to say.

It was a difficult decision for me this month to decide who is deserving of this last Terrific Kid award in my class.  I had to think about everything:  who has already won, who has shown growth, who has changed their behavior tremendously, who has been a leader and example to others.   I have such a small class that everyone has had a very good chance of earning this award.  But after all of this consideration, I decided on Zeak Woodland.
Zeak Woodland has worked hard since our last conference improving himself.  I asked a lot of him during our meeting.   He has responded and has changed the way he views school.   It hasn't gone unnoticed by his parents either.   We're all so proud of him for making the changes that will ultimately help him more down the road.   He really deserves this!!!
Zeak is a great student and person.  I hope he continues to make school a big priority in his life.   It is the key to a fun and successful life.   Good Luck!  Mr Moore

Girls Night

So when the boys are away to fathers and sons with grandpa what do the girls do???
Much to Dan's dismay I didn't clean out the garage.   Instead...
Kaci and I cleaned her room.  She said, "wow you can see the carpet.  It's way cute!" Then we picked up the front room and kitchen.  Had roman noodles and tacos for dinner.  She ended up eat half of my taco after eating her roman noodles.  YUMMMMM

Next we made cookies.   She settled for chocolate chip mom didn't have the energy for sugar cookies with pink frosting.

Sparkles thought that he wanted cookie dough. He didn't believe us that the dough is the best part of the cookie.

Next we blogged because that is a copout to her request to scrapbook then we are going to get our pajamas on, brush our teeth, read a book and our scriptures and crawl into bed.   Hope you all had a wonder friday night to.

Kindergarten at the Zoo

Jake's favorite animal at the ZOO was the ZEBRA.  When he went to the gift shop he had to find a Zebra. We had a fun day.  The weather was perfect and I enjoyed seeing Jakes excitement he was the most excited about he Zebra.
This little girl kept me in stitches all day.   I thought Jake was funny.   On the way up she told us that she brought carrots and she loves them because they are good for your eyes.   I said oh really so I should eat them.  She said, "yes I was going to give them to you, you really need them your eyes are all red."  I didn't tell her it wasn't from eating carrots it was from the lack of sleep.  Then just a WARNING  don't ask a kindergarten kid how they know if a giraffe is a boy or girl????   I was one red mom hoping that no one heard, unfortunately as I looked around everyone heard loud and clear.   No more questions.   Those kids are way smarter than me.
When we saw the turkeys Jake said look mom that is what you were suppose to kill.  Thanks son! I told him yes but instead I was seeing him at the Zoo with my favorite kindergartener.
This was Jake W. 's group at the Zoo.  Do you see any boys besides him?   You got to love kindergarten.   What, a fun age so full of energy and life.  Thanks for wanting me to go to the Zoo with you.  I know it wont always be cool to have your mom tag along so I will as long as you let me.  You are a fun kid and a joy to have in our family.   Love Ya Bud.

Craziness

In case anyone is wondering.  Life has been a little on the crazy side.  It usually is at the Cowboy house  (as Ashlyn would call it.)  The last to weeks have been very full.   Two weeks ago I started hunting turkeys.  I went and took video of my brother Dusty two years ago and loved it so I finally drew a tag this year.   Let me just say that for a mom to go on a weekend trip to video is the smart way to go.   It is just not real practical for a mom to leave everyone and everything and keep things rolling the way they should.   Monday and Tues Dan and I left the kids with friends.  Thanks Ange and Tina and went to Fillmore fully convinced we would be home by Tues night at the latest and move on with the rest of the crazy week.  Sadly there were a lot of things I forgot to put into my equation like, other HUNTERS, 4 wheelers, first really nice weather for all kinds of people to be out, and last the lack of nice weather for the turkey to be really active.   So things did not go as planned.  I will spare you all of the details because it makes me fighting mad.   (Call Dan if you really must know.) By Tuesday mid-day I was fed up so we called my Dad decided to go to one last spot and head home.   It was really fun being with Dan and hunting with just him.   We had some good conversations and a lot of quiet time since we were hunting.  When we got home I had some vinyl that needed to be done so I got to work on it well that was the second madding moment to my week.  For some reason everything seemed to crash.  I was in a bad way I had blinds to order and vinyl to print.   So after much anxiety I finally called for professional help and it took the  rest of the weekend to get my computer running.  Thanks to all my customers who were so understanding.   Dan found a horse on the internet and decided we needed to run to Tremonton Friday night.  The only good thing that come from that is Zeak helping Rachel warm up her horses and visiting Grandma and Grandpa.   Thanks to Brenda for keeping Kaci and sitting through a dance rehearsal.   We hurried home Saturday to watch Kaci in her first Dance review and then Dan decide we should run to Fillmore Sunday night and try one last morning for a Turkey.  My computer was still under the weather and would be until Monday morning so we took the kids and went to Fillmore.    We had a nice visit Sunday night with my Best Friend Sara and Travis and that was the only real success.   We planted the garden monday night and then the rest of the week was spent catching up on vinyl orders, blind order, and jobs on Dan's list.   Friday I spent the day with Jake at the ZOO.   It was a blast.   I will do a blog on that alone.  We finished catching up vinyl and got the blinds installed on Saturday and then we were able to visit with all Dan's family who were here for Kaleb and Carters blessing.  From the long blog you can see it was eventful and for the most part we survived with only a few casualties.  I never did get my turkey which I feel bad about and I know Dan feels bad I just told him until the kids are older I think I will leave the hunting to him.   Now that this blog is complete I feel a huge weight gone and can focus on cleaning up what was neglected the last several days.  If you are still reading thanks for unwinding with me your awesome.

Zeak in seventh Heaven he is on a horse at a high school rodeo with the best looking cowgirl in the world!  Thanks for sharing you're evening  with us Rachel it made our trip worth it.   We will always have a fun story to retell as well!
Dan was so awesome to carry most of the load set out the decoys, set up the blind, and he can call with the best of them.  Thanks for the good memories.

Now this says it all Jake is a little chick magnet he was the only boy with 6 girls.  I think that is how it usually is.

Alan, Suzanne, Carter, Ashlyn, and Kaleb GEE  Thanks for the Party it was a fun day.

Dance Review

This is too cute.  We really enjoyed the dance review.  As I was sitting there thinking to myself  there isn't much difference in a dance review, baseball, rodeo.  You sit for hours to watch a 30 second maximum performance from your child.   Then you sit some more while waiting for your child again.  The things we do for are kids yet after watching this video why would you not sit for days just to get a good laugh or watch the home run hit, or the fasted team ropin' run of the night.    It's moments like this that make life so great!   Kaci is the last little girl on the left that keeps jumping.  So I couldn't get the video to download.   So you will have to settle for pictures and I will try another time for video.
