We went to a CULBR rodeo last weekend and had a lot of fun. Jake had so much fun he did barrels, poles, and his first time goat tying and break away. He had so much fun.
Zeak did shoot dogging for the first time, breakaway, goats, team roping. Him and Dan won the Adult kid once on Friday and once on Saturday, Zeak roped with Saxon Day won 2nd in the kid to kid team roping. It was good practice for Nationals. Thanks so much to Casey and Wendy for giving us the opurtunity to rodeo and practice.

Ute Stampede

So the pictures were not to bad and I decided to post them.     Dan and Zeak let me choose wich horse to ride so I chose Zeaks  rope horse.   Taylei rode him last year in the parade and he is just a good ol' boy most of the time.  Well he didn' t buck he was just excited and wanted to go.  I told Dan when it was all over even though my stomach hurt most of the time from being so nervous it was a good experience and confidence builder.   I can ride excited horses but I don't want to ride those bucking horses any more.    Zeak got to carry the Little Britches Flag in the parade he did great this was the first time his horse had ever had a flag on him.   Some horses don't like the flag and the noise that is makes.  He was a champ he didn't seem to mind.   We had a great time and enjoyed the rodeo.

A week in St. George or the Ute Stampede

Aunt Shannon offered to take Kaci and Jake to St George for the week.  Jake was really torn because this meant that he would miss the Ute Stampede parades.   He  finally decided that he could go to the parades next year and go have fun in  St George.   The kids had a lot of fun.  Thanks Aunt Shannon your the Best.

75 Annual Ute Stampede was this weekend.  Dan Zeak and I rode in the horse parade that was a good experience for me.   Then Dan and Zeak and Shauna Winters talked me into doing the grand entry at the rodeo.  Even though my heart was pounding pretty good from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm I am so glad I did it.   My sister took pictures but I decided not to wait to post them I will just post them later maybe.   Friday afternoon Dan and I picked Zeak up at the end of the parade route and we headed for Sunny St Goerge to get the kids and Celebrate with Hailey.

I took Zeak and Kyler in to Nephi Thursday morning to watch the buckin horses run down main street.  Kyler thought that was awesome and went home asking for a little horse for his Birthday.

Hailey, Carson, Kolten , and Kaitlyn (the St. George cousins) have July and Aug birthdays so they had a party at Jumping Jacks.  We  cruised to St George and made it by 9:20 only 20 min late for the party.  We had so much fun.  It was good to see Jake and Kaci and Kaci just kept going.  She wore Dan out.   Thanks for the fun party.

Saturday was a really special day for Hailey she was Baptized on her Birthday.   She was so pretty and happy.  After her baptism and dinner she got her ears pierced.   All the kids had to watch.   Then we went to the swim meet.   Kayla and Hailey did awesome.   It was really Hot at first but we kept cool in the shade and we finally adjusted.  It was worth the heat to watch them compete.  I told Shannon it is  a lot like rodeo hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait.   We just use sand and dirt they use water.   No matter what the kids are doing it is just fun to support each other and watch them compete and excell.   As long as they are doing something to better them selves and stay busy so they don't get in trouble then what more can you ask.

When we got home.   We went out to the garden and picked our dinner the kids were so excited and it was so rewarding to get a reward for all of our efforts.   As a kid one of my favorite meals was cream peas, carrots, and potatoes.  So that is what we made for dinner.  It was delicous.  I have loved working in my yard and taking care of it.  I have loved weeding as crazy and that sounds.   I have learned lots and have lots more to learn.   What more could a girl ask for, fun weekend with family and friends enjoying the things we like to do and Celebrating the gospel, eating fresh home grown food, and having my family all back home under one roof.
