Making vs Taking

So the other night we were invited to a private open house the Nephi City Pool.   I had Rylon and Brinley so I got in my swimming attire, which I will never learn to love as long as I live I'm sure,  and took the kids to the pool.   When we pulled up we were taken back by the amount of people in attendance.  My kids decided they didn't want to go they were certain the pool would be to crowded.   Much to my surprise none of the adults were swimming or even in swimming attire for that matter.   I was a little uncomfortable at first knowing that I was the only adult that was in swimming attire.   Then I decided that I was ok.  I was not going to let this stop me from making memories with my kids and my nieces and nephews.   I had my camera and I should have had someone take a photo of me with the kids but I didn't.   The later it got the less crowed it got.   The three little ones were cold so I got them dressed and had Kaci sit with them while I watched Jake and Zeak on the diving boards.   Alley Gee is my new hero.   She came late to the party without her swimming attire but that didn't stop her from having fun with Stormy and showing her that she could still do a back flip off the diving board.   This taught me a wonderful lesson about making memories with our kids.   Spending time with them and not worrying so much about the world and how they are looking at us.   My kids were not embarrassed of me or worried about the other parents they were just having fun being with me.
